| Some teaching in a theatre school followed – Speech & Voice
and directing Shakespeare productions; then some acting work - a Play
of the Month for the BBC – The Critic by Sheridan; and appearances
at the Gate Theatre in London and the Abingdon, Brighton and Edinburgh
Festivals.
She spent 18 months in the West End in the long-running comedy Daisy
Pulls It Off and during that time began to do regular voice over
work.
Then came a very happy year in the BBC’s Radio Drama Company,
playing everything from Debussy’s wife in the award-winning
Black Cat and the Moon to the voice of the BBC in a play about William
Walton.
Since then, voice overs have included campaigns for British Airways,
Wella, Sainsburys, and Pretty Polly Legacy, which earned her a nomination
for Best Voice Over in the one-off BAFTA Advertising Awards in 1992.
She has also narrated many programmes for the BBC’s Open University.
She now has an ISDN studio at home in London and enjoys working
direct from there to all over the world. |
